Band Starts 8/19/2019!

Band will begin starting on Monday, August 19th

If your student still does not have an instrument, no worries! We will have plenty to do before instruments arrive. 

Instruments will be arriving 1-2 weeks after you placed your order. They will be delivered to your student's home school.

Bandapalooza
 

As a 4th grade student, your child finally has the opportunity to do what so many successful students have done before them, Be Part of the Band! Every destination starts with a decision to embark on a journey. Now is the time to start your child in music and Belleville District 118 band is the place to do it.

A big thank you to all of the families and students that came out to Bandapalooza. It was a wonderful night filled with much excitement as students took the first step in their musical journey.

Currently we have 84 new band students enrolled for beginning band!

Renting An Instrument
 

Still Interested in Joining Band? Missed Bandapalooza?

No Worries! You can still join Band!

Please follow the instructions below to have your child join band.

  1. Go to Musicarts.com, click on rentals, type in your zip code and begin the rental process to acquire an instrument

  2. Email Mr. Escatel (Douglas, Henry Raab, Jefferson, Union) jescatel@belleville118.org or Dr. Curtright (Abe Lincoln, Franklin, Roosevelt, Westhaven) tcurtright@belleville118.org with the following:

    1. Your child’s first and last name

    2. Home school

    3. Homeroom Teacher

    4. What instrument they chose/rented

  3. Head over to the district 118 band webpage (118band.org) and register for Charms

  4. Pay your band fees by October 3

  5. BAM! Be part of the band.

Please be sure to pay your band fees by October 3rd! Fees can be paid in cash, check, money order, or online at 118band.org. Please make checks payable to 118 Music Club. 

Please be sure to turn in the last page of your band handbook. This page gives us permission to bus your student to various band rehearsals and functions. Another handbook will be provided for reference when band starts.
